How Does Your PC Treat You?

As you already know, the online world is in a constant threat of viruses, spaming and digital theft whose  unscrupulous creators devise new ways of harrassing people’s personal lives and messing with their data. A keen PC/Internet  user myself, since 1997, I have so many times faced a damaged hard drive and an extremely slowed down PC because of packed up drive or messy registry, that  would drive me  helpless and crazy, waiting for programs to load. (You remember that caterpillar noise the PC makes trying to open a program.)

On the other hand,  there have been times when I had lost my personal data, like my photos from holidays,  my trips abroad, my graduation, the army service (which was quite fun when I think of it now), videos, word documents and my MP3s, by accident  or because of a forced and urgent format!  It caused me huge frustration all those times. You see, I am not one of those who have the habbit of backing up their work every night and I ‘m not a computer geek either. To be honest, that’s the last think to pass from my mind.

All I needed was something to cover several aspects of my everyday use; my online security,  protection from viruses and data theft and my biggest issue of all: optimization of my machine to run better and effectively. At the same time I wanted a “set-it-and-foget-itall-in-one system – of course no one wants four programs to run underground silmutaneously -  but with a live technical support -  surely not a freebie one, hence, but not expensive one too; something that would cover all my needs at once.

That’s what I found and still using

You all know Symantec. It not surprising it has the biggest share of the market of computer security and performance optimization software today. Its greatest success, Norton products, are so well-known that many peoople think that it’s the name of the company. Specifically, Norton 360 is not just your basic antivirus protection, but really four programs for the price of one. Norton 360 features four key components that set this software apart from the competition and into a league of its own. Norton 360 four components, which are described in more detail below, are: PC Security, Identity Protection, Online Backup and PC Tune-up and maintenance.

PC Security

Norton PC Security is the antivirus component of the program, and as you know, Norton is the industry leader when it comes to this type of protection. Norton PC Security continually monitors your web activity and aggressively seeks out and instantly removes viruses, worms, Trojan horses, spyware and malware before they can cause damage to your system. Norton PC Security keeps you safe and protected, regardless of your web searching habits.

Norton Identity Protection

If you’re like me, you probably use your computer for things like banking, shopping, hotel reservations and other sensitive online transactions, but you can bet that wherever you are on the Internet, there are identity thieves just looking for the right opportunity to steal your personal information and identity. Norton Identity Protection offers advanced security to help block spyware and malware programs from infiltrating your system and stealing your personal information.

Online Backup

Backing up your programs, files and folders should be a regularly scheduled activity for any computer user. This will help save your information should your computer become damaged, or if you experience a complete system failure. What makes Norton Backup unique is that you can backup your data online, rather than to a disk or other device. This offsite backup protection could be a life saver if for any reason you’re no longer able to access your computer.

PC Tune-Up and Registry Cleaning

Just as your car needs an occasional tune-up to keep it running optimally, so too does your computer. Norton PC Tune-up will help rid your computer of junk that is clogging the system; junk such as cookies, temporary files, and files with broken paths. The less junk that is cluttering your hard drive, the more optimally your computer will run.

Do You Need Norton 360 for Your Computer?

Chances are if you’re reading this you may have already been experiencing some problems with your computer, and believe me, I know how frustrating it can be. If you’ve tried everything and are still experiencing problems it may seem like you’ve nowhere to turn for help. If this sounds like you, than I highly recommend giving Norton 360 a try. Not only will you get the finest and most comprehensive antivirus/antispyware on the market, you’ll also be able to perform regular tune-ups and off-site backups to keep your system running perfectly.

Norton 360 is easy to install and comes with a 3-user license to protect up to three computers in your home. The installation takes only minutes and once installed you’ll be receiving full and proven protection from the best known name in computer security.

Perhaps the best reason to buy Norton 360 for your computer—at least this was the feature that most attracted me—is how effortlessly it runs in the background without slowing down other programs or processes. Unlike other antivirus programs which slow your system and annoy you with endless alerts and pop-ups, Norton 360 just does its job quietly without being intrusive.

You’d expect a program with all the features of Norton 360 would cost you an arm and a leg (at least I did), but surprisingly, for around $70 you get the complete protection of Norton 360 from a name you can trust, including continuous updates and knowledgeable 24/7 support. For the money, I really have not come across a more complete computer and Internet security product.
