How Symantec pcAnywhere Works
Symantec pcanywhere works on Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), and on the internet. It is a high-tech remote technology designed to create a secure and reliable connection between computers and servers. It also allows modem-to-modem and direct computer –to-computer connections.
Often, the connection exercise is initiated from the remote computer. However, prior to this, the information and security settings needed for such connection must have been set on the host computer. Hence, the remote user will just have to input this information and other necessary details to gain a connection.
The settings on the host computer help to optimize security and performance. It also makes sure that unauthorized access to the network, computer or server is adequately filtered and blocked.
